Thanks for following my blog! I have placed a Youtube Video Bar on the side, for those of you whose ears bleed from the musical stylings of Taylor Swift. And no worries-there's a pause button for that. I've got your back amigo/a!

While I repeatedly stumble, rejoice, and gangster-dance through life, many a times I will encounter an experience which knocks my footies off. It is during those precious moments when I need to translate my priceless thoughts into flourous shibbolith! (-words of passion) So thankyou blogger.com! Oh, and FYI my precious reader, you are welcome to read whatever gladdens your eyes.

Must be out of my head

Fast Sunday was great today! All great until that time I got in a fight with my sister. ugh. So, we went on a hike. She was tired. I only wanted to go a bit farther to take a picture with a better view. She was tired and had a tiny cold. Well, why did you want to go hiking if you had a cold? ARG. Well, I told her that since we disagreed, we needed to compromise. But she would not do that. She ALWAYS HAS TO HAVE HER WAY! And I am STANKIN tired of that about her. I love everything about Amy except that aspect. GRRR. What did I do?

I ignored her wishes and went on! I heard her yell at me. She was yelling I was not. haha. So it was only about 2 minutes up more. After I took 2 pics, I ran down and caught up to her. No she was not happy with me. But we were friends again before we got home. Amy frustrates me, if she does not change I shouldn't press her buttons just to get my way.

Boy! I love Blogger.com! I love writing things in here because it helps me think through anything. :D

Intro-story of Gma &Gpa’s best convert.

My Grandma and grandpa had a VERY memorable experience in the mission field that is inspiring for me to share.

In the southern state of West Virginia, Two Lady Neighbors found they are both interested in Family Genealogy. One is an lds member and the other not. The member ends up inviting this non-member lady to the local Genealogy Family History Center and they go together. As soon as the non-member walked in, the lady in charge there saw her and immediately felt prompted by the spirit that this woman was READY to hear the gospel. This person quickly calls up the SENOR MISSIONARIES! And not a moment later, IN STROLL MY GRANDMA AND GRANDPA! They taught the inspiring message and the lady accepted to hear more the next day and the next. Because she was invited to an ENVIRONMENT where the Holy Ghost was present, she was prepared to be taught the gospel.

Amid all the turmoil and distractions, it is frustratingly difficult to find the right moment to have a serious discussion about the gospel. Simply inviting people to the right environment can bring the Spirit back into their lives. Elder Packer explains/clarifies, “The Spirit does not get our attention by SHOUTING or Shaking us with a heavy HAND. Rather… it whispers… It caresses SO gently that if we were preoccupied, we may not feel it at all.”

The Holy Ghost is there to testify of things that are true.

We are commanded to ponder, Nature is my absolute favorite place to be when pondering ANYTHING. Ralph Waldo Emerson expresses this feeling saying “My Head is Bathed by the Blithe air and Uplifted into Infinite space-All Mean Egotism Vanishes.”-Ralph Waldo Emerson. A person feels humble, cheerful, and unselfish in Nature. Unimportant things fall away. When surrounded by the beauty of the earth one can focus. Joseph Smith chose to pray in a grove of trees because he could feel the spirit there. What a great environment to be in! It’s a known fact that most people who come to Salt Lake City visit Temple Square. There is a visitor’s center where anyone can go. Many have been inspired by the short videos there and the statue of Christ. Temple grounds are a wonderful place to feel the spirit. If we invite friends to visit the temple grounds they will probably feel the strong spirit that is there. Being in a place where the spirit can dwell is vital if a person felt impressed to share a testimony or a spiritual thought.

Take a virtual tour of your home. You walk through the door, how do you feel? Is it a feeling of love peace and refuge from the world? Are scriptures found in a room where the family can study, pray, and learn together? Does the music you hear or the entertainment you see, online or otherwise, offend the Spirit? Is the conversation uplifting and without contention?

Gary Stevensen wrote in a recent ensign, “Only the home can compare with the temple in sacredness. Not only can we turn the doors of our homes to the temple, or the house of the Lord; we can make our homes a “house of the Lord.”

I have quite a few non-member friends, of different religion. They’ve come over for a movie and a dinner many times. I have a feeling that my home has a good feeling of the spirit when they come in and that’s why they feel comfortable there. I don’t know exactly how to convert them, but I do know that bringing the spirit into their lives will bring them peace and joy and even nearer to God. Take people to a place where they can feel the spirit.

If you know someone that needs the gospel and the Holy Spirit in their life, Start praying for Guidance and inspiration NOW… Tell them things about the church that will spark their interest. Most people care deeply about their family. Tell them about eternal families. Share scriptures with them that have inspired you. The Holy Ghost will testify of Christ and of things that are true. Make sure the spirit can be there.

Bring your friends to places they will feel the spirit of Christ and pray for help. Do not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ and Don’t withhold an initiation to church because of fear. There are so many places in where the spirit can be felt. The non-member lady that was taught a message by my grandparents has since then strived to live the gospel, she is now a Relief Society President. I testify that the Holy Ghost can bring people nearer to god. I know that standing in holy places will help us choose the right and inspire others to do the same. When people feel the spirit they will find a greater joy unlike any before. I know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the holy Ghost want us to find happiness and we’ll find it by coming unto Christ by the Holy Ghost. Amen.
